No Data Selling: We do not sell, trade, or rent any of your personal details, code inputs, or interview logs to third parties. Ever.
No Advertising: Your data is never used for targeting, marketing, or custom display advertising campaign runs.
Pure Functionality: Personal information is used strictly to authenticate you and construct your mock interview roadmaps.
Absolute Control: You retain complete ownership and can instantly delete all files and logs at any moment.
AI & Google Gemini API Disclosure
To provide interactive speech, speech-to-text, real-time feedback, and screen analysis, LiveTechPrep routes portions of your inputs to the Google Gemini Multimodal Live API.
HOW DATA IS TREATED BY THE GEMINI API:
* **Paid / Enterprise Tier (Our Platform Proxy):** If you use the standard platform proxy, the API is running on a paid enterprise developer connection. Under Google's Developer API Terms, your prompts, code drafts, and voice streams are NOT used to train Google's models.
* **Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK):** If you provide your own Gemini API Key in User Settings, the training policy matches your specific API key's billing status. Unpaid/free-tier keys permit Google to process logs for model training, whereas paid-tier keys prevent model training.
* **Minimal Sharing:** We only share the minimum necessary components (the code pad buffer, real-time mic voice stream, and screen-sharing frames) required to conduct the mock interview.
Data We Collect & Store
We collect only the information necessary to provide and monitor your mock preparation plans:
- Profile Credentials: Your email, display name, and photo URL synchronizing from Google Sign-In.
- Syllabus & Roadmaps: The company target (e.g. Google, OpenAI), role, pacing, and focus areas you configure.
- Interview Records: Saved code revisions, evaluation scores, transcript summaries, and feedback memory metrics.
- In-Memory Audio & Screen Streams: Real-time mic audio and screen frame grabs are processed transiently to communicate with the Gemini Live API over WebSockets. We never record or save your raw screen recordings or voice files to our database servers.
Infrastructure Security
All personal profiles, roadmap schedules, and code drafts are securely housed in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore). We implement strict database rules preventing any outside user from reading, writing, or viewing your information. Your preparation logs are strictly readable by you and you alone.
Right to Erasure & Deletion
We believe in total user control. You can request complete erasure of your data at any time:

3. Scroll to the Danger Zone and click Delete Account.
This executes a cascading deletion script that instantly removes your user profile, all generated preparation roadmaps, and all mock session history from our database, followed by deleting your Auth profile.
